Ibec Mid-West holds pre-Budget meeting

Ibec Mid-West Regional Executive Committee held a pre-Budget 2023 meeting at Edward Lifesciences in Limerick on Monday.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss key priorities for business in the region, particularly in the run-up to next week’s Budget.  Subjects covered included competitiveness, inflation, energy, talent attraction / retention, and housing.

Speakers included Ger Brady (Head of National Policy and Chief Economist, Ibec) and Mary Considine (CEO, the Shannon Airport Group), while Clare’s Oireachtas members were represented at the event by Independent TD, Michael McNamara.

Companies represented at the meeting included Stryker, Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon, Daktronics Ireland, University of Limerick, Limerick and Clare Education & Training Board, Dell EMC, Zimmer, AIB Group, Analog, Shannon Foynes Port Company and the Shannon Airport Group.
